PADI Rescue Diver Course

Scuba divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed.

What is the PADI Rescue Diver Course?

The PADI Rescue Diver Course is the best way to excel your diver awareness on a level where you can recognise problems and learn how to approach them. You learn how to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature. Plus, the course is just fun – it’s serious, but still allows for lots of laughter in between the focused learning.

What will I do?

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:

  • Self rescue
  • Recognising and managing stress in other divers
  • Emergency management and equipment
  • Rescuing panicked divers
  • Rescuing unresponsive divers

Course consists of two theory lessons in the classroom, one practical session in the pool, and training in the ocean. These training segments are performance based, meaning we will spend as much time necessary with you to make sure you get it right.

We will use lot of new interesting equipment such as a pocket mask to practice in-water resuscitation. During exercises, you will work with an oxygen unit, floats, marker buoys and CPR mannequins. You will learn how to make an Emergency Assistance Plan which is credited towards your next adventure – PADI Divemaster Course.

Where will I go?

If you decide to join our course at North Bali than Puri Jati, only few minutes away from Zen Dive Resort is a perfect place to start you Rescue training in the ocean. Once comfortable with skills, Rescue scenarios will take place at dives sites such as Tulamben, Menjangan Island, or Pemuteran.

At our dive center in East coast of Bali  you will start your first skills in our swimming pool and than continue at Rama Reef, only 5 minutes away. Rescue scenarios will take place at Padang Bay, Tulamben or Amed dive sites.
